***REVIEWS of OTHELLO***
Premier of Dwight Rhoden's "OTHELLO" with music composed by David Rozenblatt:
THE CHARLOTTE OBSERVER
"There is electric energy from the start as the pulsing original score, by David Rozenblatt, communicates the essence of a rock concert and its afterparties....“Othello” has impeccable dancing, innovative music and eye-popping costumes. Beware the green-eyed monster, but go see its effects in this fiery and vibrant production"
CLASSICAL OBSERVER OF NORTH CAROLINA
"The work is set to a highly textured commissioned score by composer David Rozenblatt, with whom Rhoden has worked before. If it must be categorized, you could call it jazz, but it contains all the peculiar variety and rich strangeness of music in a dream... This music feels inseparable from the hard-edged, super-stylish sets and lighting by Michael Korsch and the brilliant, glittering, barely-there costuming by Christine Darch. Visually and aurally, this is a world complete"

***RED CARPET GRAMMY MENTION***
Barry Manilow's In The Swing of Christmas recieves the 2009 GRAMMY NOMINATION featuring David's trio "The Herskowitz Trio" aka MaD Fusion:

Hi Everyone and welcome!

These past few years have been very exciting! Playing for Barack Obama, performing and recording with The Killers, Joe Zawinul, Judy Collins, Paquito D’Rivera, Lew Soloff, Harvie S, Adam Holzman, Reba McEntire, Bobby Womack, Paul Shaffer and the David Letterman Band, recording some very successful CDs with Barry Manilow (one of which recieved the 2009 Grammy nomination for 'Best Traditional Pop Album' featuring The Herskowitz Trio "fka. MaD Fusion), landing a professorship at Hofstra University, debuting his ballet 'THREE POINT TURN' in the US and Russia with prima ballerina Diana Vishneva, Desmond Richardson and members of the Kirov Ballet, premiering 'OTHELLO" with North Carolina Dance Theater and "Dirty Wire" with Complexions at the Joyce in New York with all 3 ballets choreographed by the esteemed Dwight Rhoden, being praised by The LA Times and The Charlotte Observer and ripped apart by the New York Times, The Wall Street Journal and the New York Post were some of the major highlights.

Still going strong with Barry Manilow, the "Herskowitz Trio" fka. MaD Fusion, Sound Liberation, Dagmar and his recording studio effectionately called STUDIO 420.  David recently joined another great trio Erbium, which performs all over New York City, with the wonderful electric keyboardist Dan Pelkowski and the amazing 7 string electric bass player, flutist and composer Dan Cooper.

For the Herskowitz Trio the Montreal Jazz Festival was absolutely incredible. Charles Papasoff and Coral Egan joined the trio and they played to a sold out Gesù - Centre De Créativité.  MaD Fusion's latest program entitled “MaD Gershwin” was received by a very enthusiastic audience! You can check out some of their Gershwin music on www.MaDFusionmusic.com.
